I would like to introduce you to the Prince William Sound Community College (PWSCC) Training Department. Our experienced staff is available to coordinate and deliver safety and workforce development training geared to meet your company’s unique needs on-site at your business location.
The Training Department at PWSCC offers certified classes to meet industry needs for compliance with OSHA required courses like HAZWOPER or confined space awareness, training necessary for employees reporting for work on the North Slope, safety classes in first-aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and customized cold water safety and survival programs.
Additionally students can complete an Undergraduate Certificates or Associate of Applied Science Degree in Technology. Emphasis areas of study include safety management, oil spill response, millwright, and electrical power generation.
It is often more cost effectiveness and less disruptive to your business operations to bring our trainers to the worksite, especially as group sizes exceed eight people. Here are a few of the courses offered by PWSCC:
- OSHA 8, 24 and 40-hour HAZWOPER Courses approved under 29 CFR 1910.12

- Red Cross First-Aid and CPR with AED

- AlaskaHost Customer Service Training
- USCG 100-ton Master and Operator Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV) licenses
- USCG 18-hour Survival Equipment, Procedures and Onboard Drills
- USCG 10-hour Onboard Drill Conductor Course
- NASBLA Approved Boating Safety Course
- Customized Cold Water Safety and Survival Training
- Fishing Industry Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Training
